NMDC Steel Executive Trainee Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through a multi-stage process that includes a written exam, group discussion, and interview. Marks from all three stages are combined to prepare the final merit list.
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) — Multiple-choice questions in Hindi and English.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40 for SC/ST/PwBD, 45 for OBC-NCL, and 50 for UR/EWS.
- Shortlisting — Candidates called for Group Discussion & Interview in a ratio of 1:3.
- Document Verification — Conducted at the time of GD & Interview.

NMDC Steel Executive Trainee Salary
Selected candidates will first undergo a 6-month training period, during which they will receive a fixed stipend. After successful completion of training, they will be promoted to the post of Assistant Manager with a regular pay scale.
