The Diving Support Craft (DSC) project is a significant initiative under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India framework aimed at enhancing the Indian Navy's underwater capabilities. These vessels are designed for specialized tasks including underwater inspection, salvage operations, and coastal diving support. The program demonstrates the growing indigenous defense manufacturing capacity of private sector shipyards in collaboration with the Navy. With the launch of DSC A24, the entire five-ship series production program has reached completion.
