During the conference, 40 projects were launched to promote rural entrepreneurship and processing capabilities in the livestock industry. The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying was formed in 2019 to provide focused attention to the livestock and fisheries sectors. The National Livestock Mission (NLM) was originally launched in the 2014-15 financial year to ensure the quantitative and qualitative improvement of livestock production systems.
