The Divya Kala Mela is a government initiative aimed at providing a national-level platform to empower entrepreneurs and artisans with disabilities (Divyangjan). By showcasing their products and facilitating market access, the event promotes self-reliance and the spirit of social inclusion. This edition marks a historic milestone as it is the first time the event was jointly organized by the Government of India and the Government of West Bengal. The initiative was originally launched in December 2022 to support the economic independence of the Divyang community.
